The design and implementation of advanced web-based applications for primary historical sources require an interdisciplinary blend of philological accuracy, historical scholarship, and computational tools to create meaningful and durative participatory experiences. Starting from these premises, the open access system, Engineering Historical Memory (EHM), enhances and powers up the experience of primary historical sources online, crossing them with many others kind of source.
