Aurelio Musi was Professor of Modern History (M-STO/02) at the Faculty of Political Science of the University of Salerno, where he served as Dean and Department Director. He has taught in Italian and American universities. He is currently an adjunct professor at the University of Milan “La Statale”. He is a member of the Real Academia de la Historia in Madrid and an Officer of Merit of the Italian Republic. Co-director of “Nuova Rivista Storica”, he is a columnist for the Neapolitan pages of ‘La Repubblica’ and collaborates with various newspapers and periodicals. Among the numerous volumes he has published, the most recent ones: L’Impero dei viceré (2013), Masaniello. Il masaniellismo e la degradazione di un mito (2018), Un vivaio di Storia.
