Caterina Falbo is Full Professor of French Language and Translation at the University of Trieste
Department of Legal, Language, Interpretation and Translation Sciences – IUSLIT – (Italy).

The fields of investigation involved in scientific production primarily concern a) interpretation as a particular form of orality from which reflections on the problems of transcription and the constitution of oral corpora follow; b) the evolution of research in interpretation with particular attention to methodological problems; c) the analysis of the interpreted text as an independent text intended for interpretation users; d) the didactic-methodological aspects of simultaneous and consecutive interpretation; e) the translation and meta-translation activity.
