Logan J. Connors

Logan J. Connors is Professor and Associate Chair of Modern Languages & Literatures at the University of Miami. He is the author of The emergence of a theatrical science of man in France, 1660-1740 (2020), Dramatic battles in eighteenth-century France (2012), and a critical edition of Pierre-Laurent De Belloy’s Le Siège de Calais (2014). He is a recipient of a summer stipend from the National Endowment for the Humanities (2021) and a UM Provost’s Research Award (2017 and 2021). During academic year 2019-2020, he was an invited research fellow at the Institute for Advanced Studies (Collegium) in Lyon, France, where he began a new project on the diverse relationships between theater and the military in France and its colonies from 1750 to 1815. He is the convenor of UM’s interdisciplinary research group in Theatre and Performance Studies at the Center for the Humanities.
