Teresa Addario

Curriculum vitæ
Teresa Addario, graduated from the Universidad Católica Andrés Bello of Caracas – Venezuela (1998). She worked for more than twenty-five years at the Scuola Italiana Paritaria Agustín Codazzi of Caracas and collaborated with the Italian Institute of Culture of the Italian Embassy. In 1999, as a scholarship holder, she attended the course of Comparative Literature at the Department of Italianistics and Entertainment of the University La Sapienza. She has deepened themes concerning the socio-cultural field of Venezuela and Latin America. She is currently a doctoral candidate in Literary, Linguistic and Historical Studies at the University of Salerno.

Research Project

Title: The Venezuelan literature of the XXI century migration: the testimonies and the imaginary in the narrative of Venezuelan dislocated writers

The research project aims to analyze the imagery in the testimonies and narratives of Venezuelan writers in situations of exile. It is a look from the literary field on the phenomenon of Venezuelan migration as a result of political, economic and social events that have transformed the South American nation in the last twenty years.
