Abstract
Mythology has a long and rich history: fundamental to ancient societies, myth has been produced by all cultures and studied since antiquity, although today it seems to have lost the vital importance it had in the collective imagination. Symbolic and all-encompassing, myths have the privilege of conveying the most profound manifestations of human nature, and their interpretation, which is multiple and complex, allows the complexity of the human mind to emerge. For this reason, a comparative and interdisciplinary perspective is best suited to the study of this fascinating cultural and literary phenomenon. The aim of this worshop is to offer an overview of the myths that, from antiquity to the present day, have contributed to the construction of our societies.
