Abstract
The workshop Bourbon Sovereigns is an opportunity to take up and re-discuss the profiles of Elizabeth Farnese (1692-1766) and Maria Sofia of Bavaria (1841-1925). These are two female characters who are certainly singular and not unknown to the national and international historiographical scene. On both, new and interesting studies have offered further research perspectives. And it is precisely from the latest volumes by Giulio Sodano and Aurelio Musi that we intend to start developing the seminar meeting proposed here.
