Abstract
Lectures will address the most significant aspects of the “Lingua Tertii Imperii,” according to philologist Viktor Klemperer’s famous definition. In particular, the use in Nazi propaganda of neologisms and forestierisms and of religious, archaic, militaristic, heroic, medical, biological, and sporting expressions and images will be highlighted. Special attention will be paid to the topic of anti-Semitism in relation to the “purist question” during the Nazi dictatorship.
