The lesson focuses on the role of research on the use of dictionaries (paper and online) in learning foreign languages. After a theoretical introduction, in which German, Italian and English lemmas will be analyzed, the results of some tests administered to Italian-speaking students of German (concerning argumentative structures and phraseological units) will be proposed and will then be shown, through a concrete case, how the results of research on the use of dictionaries can flow into the creation of lexicographic works.
