Ettore Cinnella

Ettore Cinnella, one of the greatest Italian Soviet scientists, already a professor at the University of Pisa, spent many years in the central archive of the Communist Party in Moscow reconstructing and analyzing the role of all the political and social protagonists of the time. In his book “1917. Russia towards the abyss ”(Della Porta publisher), Cinnella explained why Bolshevism, which was one of the main forces that opposed the tsarist regime, would gradually turn into a ferocious military tyranny capable of sinking the political and social legacy of the Russian Revolution. And it gives its own interpretation of that epochal turning point by tracing a balance of the most debated revolution in history.
