The poems and above all the montaliane prose are crossed by innumerable strange characters, evidence of an author’s research for all that, coming out from the plot of the ordinary, can be enriched with a symbolic “supersense”.
These characters come to be almost like alternatives to the “angiole” of the poetry before Satura: an alternative, however, never fully affirmed.
