26/02/19-A history of the histories. Two hundred years of historiography on the French Revolution

15:00, Aula “Imbucci”

Focused on the book La guerre de deux cents ans. Une histoire des histoires de la Révolution française (Perrin 2018) by Antonino De Francesco, the seminar illustrates two centuries of historiography on the Great Revolution, proposing a new reading from the first studies to the contemporary interpretations, in which the current crisis of European identity is associated with the crisis of the value of the French revolution as a founding element of modernity.
