Alessandra Marzola taught English Literature at the universities of Bergamo, Parma and Torino. She has published books on Shakespeare (L’impossibile Puritanesimo di Amleto, 1984; La parola del mercante, 1996; Otello , 2015); on British Theatre in the 20th century; on the rhetoric of economic discourse in Keynes’s General Theory; on Englishness in the 20th century; on war, violence and national identity in 20th century Britain. She is currently the co-editor of Prismi Book Series for Mimesis Publishing House.
