José Francisco Medina Montero, “licenciado de Grado” and PhD in Hispanic Philology (Spanish Language) at the University of Extremadura (Spain), is a Full Professor of Language and Translation – Spanish Language at the Department of Legal Sciences, of Language, Interpreting and Translation at the University of Trieste (Italy). His research interests include the Spanish Language (diachrony and synchrony) as a first and second language, Italian- Spanish-Italian Contrastive Linguistics and Italian-Spanish-Italian translation. In these fields he has published more than 55 works, including articles, books, etc. He is a member and/or coordinator of 17 funded research projects, he is part of 5 editorial and scientific committees of journals, has been a member of 25 organizational and scientific committees of international conferences and has been a speaker at more than 60 conferences in Europe and Latin America. At the University of Trieste he has held the positions of Degree Course Coordinator, Vice- Rector for International Mobility and International Relations and Head of the Language Centre.
