In 2013 Lidia Tornatore obtained her Master’s degree in Modern Philology from the University of Salerno with a thesis in Romance Philology.
In September 2016 she passed a competitive exam and obtained a chair to teach Italian, Latin and Literary subjects in secondary schools.
Since 2016 she has been matter expert and an assistant professor for the chiars of Romance Philology and Italian Linguistics at the Department of Humanities at the University of Salerno.
From 2017 to 2019 she was subject matter expert in Italian Linguistics for Italian at the Department of Human Sciences of the same University.
In October 2016 she obtained the DITALS Certificate, level II, from the University of Siena for Foreign Students.
Since the academic year 2019/2020 she has been a sessional professor in Romance Philology in the Department of Humanities at the University of Salerno.
She obtained the PhD in Literary, Linguistic, and Historical Studies in same University in April 2020.
Her research project, titled Tra lingua letteraria e lessici settoriali: materiali per un glossario di Lo Cunto de li cunti di Basile, is the lexical study of the work Lo Cunto de li cunti by Giovan Battista Basile (supervisor: Professor Rosa Troiano, co-advisor: Professor Carolina Stromboli).
