Luca Polese Remaggi is Associate Professor of Contemporary History (M-STO 04) at the Department of Humanities, University of Salerno.
He is currently Head of the History Section of the Department of Humanistic Studies at the aforementioned university.
He deals with multiple strands of contemporary history ranging from the history of intellectuals to the history of ideas, from the history of political campaigns to the history of human rights. They converge in his main research work, currently being published, which is devoted to the international left in the face of Soviet repressive policies in the era of Lenin and Stalin (1918-1953).
He has long dealt, and continues to deal, with the history of the Italian left and liberalism in the context of 20th-century Italy.
