Maria Anna Noto

Maria Anna Noto is Associate Professor in Modern History (M-STO / 02) at the Department of Human, Philosophical and Education Sciences – University of Salerno, National Academic Qualification as Full Professor. She is Head of the Didactic Board of Educational Sciences. Scientific Director of the Laboratory of Historical Documentation and Italian and European Territorial Cultures (DocSto Lab). She was Visiting professor at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her research focused on the following thematic areas: Fiefdoms and jurisdiction in the Modern Age; Government and nobility in the cities of the South Italy; Inquisition, State and Ecclesiastical Institutions; Riots in the ancien régime; Transnational élites in Modern Europe. Director of the project “Le regioni italiane per i Beni Culturali” (Ministry of Cultural Heritage); Member of the Scientific Committee of the Series “Alle origini di Minerva trionfante” (General Direction of Archives); Member of the Scientific Committee of the Series “Documenti-Monumenti dell’identità europea” (Min. Cultural Heritage); Member of the Scientific Committee of the Series ” Storie d’Europa – EduCatt”.
